Young people can lead
the conversation.
Screenleaders starts with a simple idea: children deserve a voice in how technology fits into their lives.
Why we’re getting started.
Screens are part of growing up. So are friendships, curiosity, movement, and the chance to be bored enough to invent something.
This student-led project aims to help young people notice when screen habits become hard to control, understand what keeps them engaged, and practise making deliberate choices.
Our initial focus is students in approximately grades 4–9, with practical support for the adults around them.
-
Student outreach

-

Accessible guidance, useful questions, and links to established sources.
-
Educational materials
Free tools that families and educators can put to work.
Curiosity. Agency. Everyday practice.
We want children to feel capable of making choices, and parents to feel equipped to support them. That means listening, making room for different family circumstances, and starting with changes people can actually try.
We’ll keep learning from students, parents, educators, and reliable research as this project develops.
Where we are now: Screenleaders is a youth-led initiative in development. This starter site introduces the project and its first educational resources. It does not represent that the project has registered charity or tax-exempt status.
